California-spec vehicles carry an extra layer. The California Emissions Control Systems Warranty applies in addition to the Federal Emission Defect and Performance Warranty. It covers a broader set of emissions components, which vary by model, rather than extending the federal term.
Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance covered model years 2020 through 2025. Coverage applied to the original owner, and eligible vehicles had to be purchased or leased new on or after February 1, 2020. Coverage ran three years or 36,000 miles. It included Hyundai-approved oil and filter changes, except on electric and fuel-cell electric vehicles, plus tire rotations and multi-point inspections. For 2025 models, the program was limited to four basic services. Hyundai ended the program for model year 2026 and newer vehicles. Routine service on a 2026 Hyundai now follows the owner’s manual schedule at owner expense.
